First Day of School

Andy had his first day in the Tiny Two Room at UUM, a 10 min walk from our house. Matt, Mykkie, and I all went with him the whole time. Next week he will go by himself. It is just 2.5 hours twice a week. This morning after we got Andy dressed I told him he looked so handsome and should look at himself in the mirror. He got up on the step stool in the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Then he said to the mirror "I should practice. Hi, my name is Andy. Nice to meet you!" Andy loved the school and didn't want to leave. He fist bumped with both teachers and one of the kids. He told one of the teachers that his truck was going to a building site with cranes to dump dirt. When the teacher asked me his birthday he answered "August 18th". The teacher was blown away by his language! He and a boy named Jake (the one he fist bumped) gave each other their trucks at the sand table. On the way home he was very sad about leaving and so Mykkell told him she would take him to the fire truck park after his nap. In response to that he said, "I love you" to her!
