worm experiment!

What we did on 9/24/15 Our morning started off with measuring worm tunnels. With plastic worms of three different sizes we measure 5 different length worm tunnels. We are excited to find out the results of our experiment we did yesterday on which type of soil to worms prefer. Each of the five table had a different result with the worm. One table had all ten worms go to the sand, another all ten went to the gravel, and some others had a mixture. Next week, we will see if we can think of a different experiment for the worms. We started a new chapter book this week, All About Sam, by Lois Lowry. We follow a boy named Sam from his birth to age 5. The story is told from his perspective and it is fun to hear how he interrupts the world around him. We went to Movement and Music this morning. We worked with our Weekly friend on a 100 chart. We noticed patterns on the chart. We used Pentominoes to cover up different numbers in different patterns on the chart. We worked on printing Jump Frog upper case letters. We went to Art and Resource after lunch. It is Thursday, so we checked out a new book to bring home. We had Centers. [gallery]
