Last night Andy wanted to go outside but we didn't want to because it was cold and late. Andy must have realized his pointing and grunting wasn't cutting it so he said "outside". That did the trick! How could we not take him out when he said "outside"?! Matt pointed out the gumballs that have fallen from the trees and are covering the sidewalks. Andy repeated "gumball" over and over for the rest of the walk.
This morning it was snowing and there was water dripping into the fireplace. When this happened a couple months ago we took down the gate and put a bowl to catch the water. I didn't even notice the water slowing dripping onto the logs in the fireplace this morning but my big helper did! Andy pointed to the gate and said "gate off" so I took the gate off. Then he said "bowl" and went and got a metal bowl from the drawer in the kitchen, brought it to the fireplace and put it on the logs to catch the dripping water. When the water dripped into the bowl and made a noise he said "ding". WOW!
