Pokey

andy is all about me this week. he filled out a poster about himself and we are doing a presentation on friday on our trip to the goat farm and we write a letter to him and send it in along with a special item. this is what matt wrote: Dear Andy, We wanted to send Pokey the Frog to your class for your ‘All About Me’ week because he captures so many of the things that are special about you. One of the biggest things that Pokey means to us is how creative you are. When you were barely one year old, you decided that your new (at the time!) favorite stuffie should have a real name. He wasn’t going to be ’Froggy’… he wasn’t ‘Hopper’… he wasn’t ‘Croaky McCroakface’… He was Pokey! And we’ve always loved how you’ve been able to show that kind of creativity and imagination in everything you do. Also, Pokey is a great example of how you are both so loyal, and so generous. Loyal because you’ve never given up on or been careless with your good friends like Pokey. We’ve never had to worry about him being left behind at a restaurant, or getting misplaced. And generous because when Charlie decided he’d like to have Pokey be a special guest star in his own stuffie zoo, you shared without hesitation and made your little brother so happy. Andy, seeing Pokey makes us think about how you are wonderful and special in so many ways, and so we wanted him to pay you a visit during your special week at school. Love, Mom and Dad
