People
Most nights we say good night to our friends and family. Now Andy will repeat the name and say a little bit about some of the people. For Baba he says “gloves” or “hat”. For Aunt Jill and Uncle Jeff he says “globe round and round” and “robot noisy round and round”. He is in love with their roomba and is constantly wanting to see their robot! For Olly he says “baby cry friend”. For Dan once he said “numbers” and now he says “mow lawn” after watching Dan mow the other day. For Zoe he says “friend play” or “climb tree” or “bike” or “scooter”. For Willie he says “ball”. For Henry he says “scooter, fast”. For Grant he says “chair” because he sat in Andy’s chair when he came over or “ball”. For Matt he says “Daddy mow lawn” or “car” or “tools fix”. For Abi he says “swing” because he went on the swings with Abi.
Dreams
Every morning I ask Andy what he dreamt about. He always says ZOE!!!! When I ask what he was doing with Zoe he says things like Zoe grass green leaves play. This morning there was a break from routine. He said Robot!
Matt and Rach
We’ve know for a while now that Andy knows his dad is named Matt. When he was younger we would ask him where Matt was and he would point correctly. More recently, he has been occasionally saying Matt or Matt sippy instead of daddy. But each time we asked him where Rachel was he would point to Rachel across the street so we thought he didn’t know my name. The other week Matt had the brilliant idea to ask him where Rach is. He pointed to me!
Talking
Andy is saying lots of longer harder words like medicine, humidifier, hedgehog, goggles, motorcycle, and excavator.
He is also putting multiple words together like “key in door lock” or “outside in wagon pull walk” or “see daddy car garage in” or “me hide blue blanket (the blanket the girls at seaport fabrics made me when I was little)” or “daddy hug, daddy tackle” or “trashcan monday garbage (sometimes sounds like bargage) truck noisy dumps trash”. He will say “sad” or “happy” according to his feelings.
Tools
Andy LOVES tools. He is always saying “tools daddy attic see” or “daddy hammer fix door” or “Andy fix”. He can say and identify the hammer, screws, toolbox, wrench, screwdriver, nuts, and bolts.
Hoses
Andy loves hoses. He says “hose heavy”
Fans
Andy loves fans. He loves the big AC fan outside our house. He says “fan noisy round and round fast”. Marius (which he says) has two fans at his house so his fans are very popular. He also likes Dom and Marcy’s fan.
Trucks
Andy loves trucks! He (and now I!) can say and identify a digger, dozer (bulldozer), excavator, back hoe loader, front loader, skid steer, tunnel (tunnel loader), mixer, dump truck, tractor, fire truck, fire engine, and garbage truck.
